Remembering the Dead This Week

 Henry John Beucus 

    Henry, son of John Beucus and Henrietta Bear, was born May 23, 1874 in Waupun, Dodge County, Wisconsin. He died October 9, 1939 in Maywood, Cook County, Illinois. Henry is buried in the San Francisco National Cemetery in California. He married Alliu 'Olive' 'Ollie' Gunderson in May of 1901. They had several children together including my great grandfather Elmer Raymond Beucus, Adelaide E. Beucus, Kenneth Henry Beucus, George Harold Beucus, and Barbara Joy Beucus. Henry served in the Spanish American War with an honorable discharge on January 4, 1899.

Ethel Maria Lease 

    Ethel, daughter of George Weber Lease and Maria Jane Wilson, was born April 12, 1898 in Forest City, Holt County, Missouri. She died on October 10, 1990 in California. Ethel is buried in the Union Cemetery located in Forest City, Missouri. She married Elmer Wasson Perry on April 19, 1916 in Forest City. They had three children Charlotte Isabelle Perry, David Lease Perry, and my great grandma Doris Maxine Perry. After Elmer Wasson Perry died, Ethel remarried on December 22, 1935 to Cecil Laverne Richardson in Sebastian, Arkansas.

Effie Wilma McCoy 

    Effie, daughter of Andrew Jackson McCoy and Melvina Eakle, was born July 3, 1909 in Arkansas. She died October 13, 1973 in Los Angeles County, California. Effie is buried in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Compton, Los Angeles County, California. She married Edward Charles Trantham on January 10,1929 in Sebastian, Arkansas. They had three children named Ramona Jean Trantham, my great grandmother Wanda Dean Trantham, and Charles Edward Trantham. Effie's nickname was Big Mom.
