Grandma's Potato Salad
Backstory
Grandma Sandra "Sandy" Karen (Meese) Surratt doesn't quite recall when she started making her potato salad recipe, but over the years she has tweaked the ingredients. She later added eggs and garlic powder by recommendation of my father, Walter Edward Surratt, and my mom, Summer Gould, respectively. Grandma Sandy often makes her potato salad for family picnics and BBQs. Like many cooks, she doesn't use a specific recipe, but rather goes off memory and taste. So the following recipe is my rendition of Grandma Sandy's potato salad.
Recipe
Peel and dice the potatoes. Then boil them to make the potatoes softer to eat. Hard boil a few eggs. Let the potatoes and eggs cool off. Add mayo and mustard to the diced potatoes. Chop up some dill pickles and green onions to throw in. Slice up the boiled eggs, sprinkle garlic powder on top, and mix it all together. Then top it off with a little paprika garnish.
With love,
