The Recent Gundersons 

Andrew Lasseson Gunderson, son of Lasse Gunnersen and Magdalene Jensdatter, was born on 1 June 1842 in Leikanger kommune, Sogn of Fjordane fylke, Norway. Andrew "Anders" was baptized on 12 June 1842 in Leikanger, Sogn Og Fjordane, Norway. Andrew Lasseson Gunderson married Sarah Christine "Sigrid Kristine" Knutson. In 1880, Andrew age 37 and his wife Sarah age 26 lived in Twelve Mile Lake, Emmet County, Iowa with their children Lena Gunderson age 8, Olaf Gunderson age 6, Louisa Gunderson age 4, and Hans Gunderson age 2. In 1885, Andrew age 43 and Sarah age 32 lived in Estherville, Emmet County, Iowa with Lena Gunderson age 13, Allen [who I believe is Alliu] Gunderson age 11, Louisa Gunderson age 8, Hans Gunderson age 6, Kinich [who I believe is supposed to be Knute] Gunderson age 4, and Ellen [Ella] Gunderson age 1. Andrew worked as a farmer. He died at age 52 on 10 December 1894 in Wallingford, Emmet County, Iowa. Andrew Lasseson Gunderson is buried at Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery in Wallingford, Emmet County, Iowa. 

The Meaning of Gunderson
