Sarah Christina Knutson 

Sarah Christina Knutson, daughter of Knute Knutson and Aslaug "Olive" Isaksdatter, was born on 16 August 1854 in Dekorra, Columbia County, Wisconsin. She had a plethora of siblings including John Knutson (b. 1838), Thomas Knutson (b. 1839), Isaac Knutson (b. 1841), Ole Severin Knutson (b. 1843), Mary Knutson (b. 1846), William Severin Knutson (b. 1850), and Lewis M Knutson (b. 1857). 

Sarah Christina Knutson married Anders "Andrew" Lasseson Gunderson on 23 March 1871 in Dekorra, Columbia County, Wisconsin. They had a mini hoard of children including Magdalena "Lena" Gunderson (b. 1871), Alliu "Ollie" Gunderson (b. 1874), Louise G Gunderson (b. 1876), Hans A Gunderson (b. 1878), Knute Gunderson (b. 1880), Ella Gunderson (b. 1883), Andrew Gunderson (b. 1889), Hazel Josephine Gunderson (b. 1891), and George L Gunderson (b. 1893). In 1880, Sarah and her family lived in Twelve Mile Lake, Emmet County, Iowa.

Sarah Chrisrina (Knutson) Gunderson died of stomach cancer at age 64 on 3 June 1919 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. She is buried in Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery in Wallingford, Emmet County, Iowa. This June we remember Sarah as a daughter of Norwegian immigrants who made a life with her family in Iowa. 




Hattie Josephine Bailey 

Hattie Josephine Bailey, daughter of Joseph Calvin Bailey and Courtney Angeline Jones, was born on 15 August 1863 in Alabama. Hattie grew up with a brood of younger siblings including William Cross Bailey (b. 1866), Rose Ann Bailey (b. 1869), Isacc N Bailey (b. 1873), Mollie Bell Bailey (b. 1875), Louzina Lula Bailey (b. 1883), and Thomas Jefferson Jackson Bailey (b. 1887). In 1880, Hattie and her family lived in Jefferson County, Alabama.

Andrew Jackson McCoy 

Andrew Jackson McCoy, son of William Lemuel McCoy and Martha Jane Harris, was born on 4 July 1873 in Tennessee. He had several siblings including Samuel P. McCoy (b. 1875), James "Jim" Richard McCoy (b. 1879), and Rosanna Polly McCoy (b. 1881). In 1880, Andrew and his family lived in Marion County, Tennessee.
