Grandpa's Sweet Pickles
Gregory Gould, Maureen Gould, & Doris Maxine (Perry) Gould
Backstory
Grandpa Greg's mom Doris made bread and butter sweet pickles when he was a kid. He believes she got the recipe from a 1950's edition of the Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook. Grandpa Greg started making that recipe in early summer when the cucumbers were growing at their peak. I remember taking home a jar of grandpa's sweet pickles as a kid. They were delicious. If you're a pickle lover like me, then you can just eat them straight out of the jar. But, if you're more civilized, then you can put the pickles in a sandwich.
