• Grayson age 11 lived in San Diego, California with his parents Volney age 44 and Laura age 41 as well as his siblings Mildred age 19 and Robert age 13 in 1930. 
• His mother Laura Pearl (Byerly) Meese died on 27 August 1933 in San Diego County, California. 
• In 1940, Grayson Walter Meese age 21 lived with his father Volney age 54 and his step-mother Nellie May (Julian) Meese age 57 in Jamul, San Diego County, California. 
• Grayson's father Volney Pershing Meese died on 10 June 1941 in San Diego County, California. 
• Grayson married Helen Elizabeth Shaw on 2 April 1949 in Buffalo, Erie County, New York. 
• In 1950, Grayson age 31 lived with his wife Helen age 33 in Downey, Los Angeles County, California. 
• His wife gave birth to their daughter Sandra Karen Meese on 21 March 1951 in Downey. 
• Their son Gary Allen Meese was born on 1 January 1954. 
• His wife Helen Elizabeth "Shaw" Meese died on 23 March 1984 in San Diego, County. 
• Grayson's sister Mildred Mable "Meese" Miller passed away on 31 October 1986 in San Diego, California.
