Reading Through the Generations
Great grandma Fonda Doris (Magill) Beucus ( enjoyed reading books, which she passed on to her daughter Deborah (Beucus) Gould. Grandma Debi loved the Lord of the Rings series by J. R. R. Tolkien, the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, as well as the Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S. Lewis. One of her favorite authors was Janet Evanovich. Some of Grandma Debi's favorite book genres were fantasy and mysteries.
Her daughter Summer Gould also loves to read. Some of her favorite books as a kid were the Ramona Quimby series by Beverly Cleary, the Sweet Valley High series by Francine Pascal, and novels by Judy Bloome. Her favorite books are the Kay Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell and the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Her favorite authors are James Patterson, Stephen King, Tami Hoag, and Sue Grafton. My mom Summer's favorite book genres are horror, mysteries, and thrillers.
Mom also passed down the love of reading books to me with shear determination as I was picky. The first books I read were the Tales of Pixie Hallow series by Disney, the Warrior Cats series by Erin Hunter, and the Goosebumps series by R.L. Stine. Some of my favorite book series are the Magiford Supernatural City series by K.M. Shea, the Zodiac Wolves series by Elizabeth Riggs, the Stay a Spell series by Juliette Cross, the Blackwater Pack series by Hannah McBride, the Ever Seas series by LJ Andrews, the Empyrean series by Rebecca Yarros, and the Immortal Curse series by Lexi C. Foss. Some of my favorite authors are Kelly St. Clare, Stacia Stark, Leia Stone, K.F. Breene, Jennifer L. Armentrout, and Meghan Quinn. My favorite genres are romantasy, urban fantasy, and romance. I love using the Goodreads app to keep track of the books I read.
