Mary Lena Scheibe 

Mary Scheibe was born on 9 November 1851 in Germany. Mary married Gottlieb Neiderhouse. In 1910, Mary Lena "Millie" age 58 lived in Forest City, Holt County, Missouri with her husband Gottlieb age 62 as well as their son William Neiderhouse age 36, daughter Emma Lena Neiderhouse age 33, and grandson Russell Lawrence Neiderhouse age 6. Mary Lena (Scheibe) Neiderhouse died at age 73 on 2 May 1925 in Forest City, Holt County, Missouri. She is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Oregon, Holt County, Missouri. This May we remember Mary Scheibe as a wife, mother, and grandmother. A German immigrant who made a life with her family in the American Midwest.

Mary Matilda Matney 

Mary Matilda Matney, daughter of William Brooks Matney and Mary Vandyke, was born on 6 August 1875 in Appanoose County, Iowa. In 1885, Mary Matilda age 9 lived in Washington, Harlan County, Nebraska with her parents William Brooks age 50 and Mary age 44 as well as her siblings William Brooks Matney age 20, John Harvey Matney age 18, James Jefferson Matney age 16, Charles Walter Matney age 12, David Matney age 5, and Alvary Matney age 4. Mary Matilda Matney married John Magill in 1892. In 1920, Mary age 44 and her husband John age 54 lived in Falls, Richardson County, Nebraska with their children Kenneth Henry Magill age 17, Ronald Ralph Magill age 15, Byron Lawrence Magill age 13, Esther Mary Magill age 11, Grace E Magill age 9, Thelma I Magill age 6, Stanley Richard Magill age 4, and William David Magill age 2. Mary Matilda (Matney) Magill died at age 60 on 9 May 1936 in Hoisington, Barton County, Kansas. She is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas. This May we remember Mary as a daughter, sister, wife, and mother.

Sarah Ann Sims 

Sarah Ann "Sallie" Sims, daughter of Joseph G Sims and Elizabeth Cantrell, was born on 27 October 1858. In 1870, Sarah age 13 lived in Whitfield County, Georgia with her parents Joseph age 38 and Elizabeth age 36 as well as her siblings Isabella Sims age 6, John B Sims age 4, and Nellie Sims 8 months old. Sarah Ann Sims married Ervin W Surratt on 12 May 1873 in Faulkner County, Arkansas. In 1900, Sarah age 54 and her husband Ervin age 53 lived in Matthews & Harve, Faulkner County, Arkansas with their children Georgia E Surratt age 15, James Harden Surratt 10, and Sarah Myrtle Surratt age 8. Sarah Ann (Sims) Surratt died at age 79 on 16 May 1938. She is buried in Cadron Valley Cemetery in Greenbrier, Faulkner County, Arkansas. This month we honor Sarah as a daughter, sister, wife, and mother. A woman born in Georgia who made a life with her family in Arkansas.

Drusilla Catherine Myers 

Drusilla Catherine Myers, daughter of Andrew Jackson Myers and Catherine Hougham, was born in 1870. In 1880, Drusilla age 8 lived in Pilot, Iowa with her parents Andrew age 36 and Catherine age 37 as well as her siblings Perry Cullen Myers age 12, Emory Emmett Myers age 10, George Willis Myers age 6, and Jessie Lou Myers age 5. Andrew Jackson Myers' niece Kate Warren age 19 also lived with them. Drusilla Catherine Myers married Edward Rouze McCorkle on 23 March 1892 in Williamsburg, Iowa. In 1900, Drusilla age 29 and her husband Edward age 32 lived in Springdale, Cedar County, Iowa with their children Emory W McCorkle age 7, Ivan John McCorkle age 4, Linden Dallas McCorkle age 2, and Fonda Drusilla McCorkle 10 months old. Drusilla Catherine (Myers) McCorkle died about age 38 in 1909 in Iowa. She is buried in Pilot Grove Cemetery in Williamsburg, Iowa County, Iowa. This May we remember Drusilla as a daughter, sister, wife, and mother. A woman born and raised in Iowa.
